Playing Catch Up

It feels like I haven't posted in forever!! ;o) I had good intentions, but that's as far as it got.

My Big Sweetie boiled more sap last week and we had some friends come out to visit and see the process. I learned some more maple syrup making facts too. :o) I'll share those in another post this week. :o)

On Wednesday I cooked something that apparently had MSG in it and I had a doozy of a headache for 2 days. :o( I never get headaches, except for sinus headaches, so I knew there had to be a reason for it. Thinking back, I could trace it to the ingredient containing MSG. Another lesson learned I guess. :o)

On Thursday, it was snowing. I mean SNOWING! It was crazy. I mean it is April. Spring. We're not supposed to be getting snow. But we did. ;o)

So Friday, my mom & aunt we're coming out to visit for the day. Well, my Big Sweetie wasn't sure that they would be able to get up our hill/driveway. The government plow will usually plow up here so they can turn at the top of the hill, but since it is a private drive and the ground was soft, they prbably didn't want to tear the road up. So we, my Big Sweetie, Little Sweetie and & I, all went out to shovel as my mom and aunt were on their way out. Shoveling on a hill??? Ugh!! Long story short, they got stuck, we shoveld some more, pushed the car and they made it up the hill. Wowzers was I ever sore the next day. I must have muscels, because everyone of them was sore. :o)

So I think I am starting to get back to a routine after a busy few days. Looking forward to posting more this week. :o)

Wow! It snowed that much?! We got snow, but it was no more than 3 inches, and is gone now, YAY! I am SO sick of the threats of winter though and need the sun! We are SO done hibernating, come on out sun! lol ;o)

I have not been in the mood for blogging too much either, but don't let that stop you! I look forward to hearing how you are doing and enjoy reading your posts!

Wow, I can't believe you are still getting snow, and enough to have to shovel it. I'm happy to hear that you were able to get it done in time for the visit. That's funny with the government shoveling your driveway in order to be able to make a u turn. I will say that I did miss you. I'm happy to hear that your headache is gone.

Sorry to hear of your headache, but I'm glad your okay now!

I'm from Canada so I know all about the snow, LOL.

We had snow too, last Sabbath. Yep, snow in East Texas. It was kinda hard to get the kids into the sanctuary after Sabbath School! It didn't stick, but it sure was fun!

Mona - yes I think I will have to write up some posts to have on hand when I am having writers block. :o)

Shereen - It's nice to be missed and nice to be back. :o) Re-reading my post it really didn't make sense. lol :o) There are 3 houses on our road and the government will plow up to the 2nd house becasuse it's gov. road, but after the 2nd house it's our land, so they're not really obligated to come up. But they usually plow right up to the top of our hill instead of trying to back up. Plus I think the driver likes to enjoy the view while he has his morning break. Wish he had that morning.:o)

Nadine - Thanks for visiting my blog. :o) I'm in Canada too. NB.

Ann - Is snow rare in Texas? I'm guessing it is since you've mentioned the warm temperatures. I'll bet the kids were super excited. That would make for a wonderful photo. :o)
